About Daily Puzzle Hint
Daily Puzzle Hint helps you finish today's word puzzles without having them spoiled. Instead of jumping straight to the answer, every page gives you a ladder of hints, so you can stop the moment it clicks.
Why this site exists
Most answer sites put the solution at the top of the page, which ruins the puzzle if you only wanted a nudge. We built the opposite: hints labelled by how much they give away, answers kept in a clearly marked spoiler zone, and tools like the Wordle solver for when you want to work it out yourself.
Who runs it
The site is run by Shahab, a software and data professional with a master's degree in computer science from Islamia University Bahawalpur. He has spent years building data tools and websites, plays the NYT word games daily, and built the system that powers this site: it collects each new puzzle, writes and checks the hints, and publishes them automatically. He reviews the hints and answers himself.
What we cover
- Wordle: six graded hints, the answer, its meaning and how popular openers scored.
- Connections: a nudge for each colour group, the trap to avoid, and why every word fits.
- Strands: the theme in plain words, spangram help and the solved board.
- Guides and tools such as the Wordle solver and 5 letter word lists.
Every puzzle also gets a permanent archive page, so you can look back at any recent answer.
Accuracy
Answers are checked automatically before anything is published: the date, the puzzle number and the shape of each answer must all match, or the page isn't updated. Read the full process in how we make hints. If you ever spot a mistake, tell us and we will fix it quickly.
Independent
Daily Puzzle Hint is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with The New York Times. To play the games themselves, visit NYT Games.
